Why is \(\frac{1}{6}\) greater than \(\frac{1}{8}\) but less than \(\frac{1}{3}\)?

I would show it in decimals. Seeing it to show how close it is to one would make it a lot easier- 1/6= .16. 1/8=.125 and 1/3=.33 So looking at the decimals you can see how one would be bigger than the other

The fraction 6 1 ​ is greater than 8 1 ​ because its decimal form (0.1667) is larger than that of 8 1 ​ (0.125). Meanwhile, 6 1 ​ is less than 3 1 ​ because 0.1667 is smaller than 0.3333. Therefore, 6 1 ​ is positioned between 8 1 ​ and 3 1 ​ .
