I am conducting a test to determine if there is a connection between how long you run and how fast your heart beats. I will perform an experiment where a person will run for 1 minute, and I will check their heart rate. Then, they will run for 2 minutes, and I will check their heart rate again. I will continue this up to 6 minutes and analyze if there is a connection.

What do you think my hypothesis should be? What are my variables?

Hypothesis: when a person runs, their heart beat increases with the amount of time they run. Your independent variable is checking heartbeat because that never changes. Your dependent variable is the about of time running because this gradually does change Also remember to test each time interval at least three times :)
