Does multiplication always make the number bigger?

When you get to higher levels they don't really have you divide by numbers, but multiply by decimals. If you multiply a number by a decimal, it will decrease. So to answer your question: No, multiplication doesn't always make the number bigger.

160 multiplied by 0 equals 0, so no the numbers do not always get bigger

Multiplication does not always make a number bigger; it depends on the number being multiplied. Multiplying by a number greater than one increases the value, while multiplying by a decimal less than one decreases it. Multiplying by zero results in zero, and multiplying a positive number by a negative number gives a negative result.
