Use dimensional analysis. 1 60.0 g r am s N a O H ∗ 40.0 am u N a O H 1 m o l e N a O H = 1.5 m o l es
1 2.73 g r am s N H 4 Cl ∗ 53.49 am u N H 4 Cl 1 m o l e N H 4 Cl = .051 m o l es
Now you try converting moles to grams. All you have to do is start with MOLES (Unlike the previous examples) over 1 then multiply that ratio by the ratio of molar mass over 1 mole. Hope this helps!

To convert grams to moles, divide the mass by the molar mass. For 60.0 grams of NaOH, you get 1.5 moles, and for 2.73 grams of NH4Cl, you get approximately 0.051 moles. To convert moles to grams, multiply the moles by the molar mass, resulting in approximately 46.03 grams for (NH4)2CO3 and about 408.84 grams for ZnCl2.
