How is the phosphorus cycle different from the nitrogen or carbon cycles?

It's different from other cycles because it can't be found in the gas state, only on land, water and sediment

The phosphorus cycle differs from the nitrogen and carbon cycles primarily because it lacks a gaseous phase in the atmosphere and involves fewer processes. Phosphorus mainly exists as phosphate ions in soil and water, while nitrogen and carbon can be found in various forms in the atmosphere. Additionally, phosphorus is often a limiting nutrient in aquatic ecosystems, unlike nitrogen and carbon, which have broader environmental distributions.
