The Fugitive Slave Act renewed Lincoln’s passion against slavery. The Fugitive Slave act was passed in the year 1850. This was a terrible act that gave the slave owners the right to catch those slaves that had run away or getting hold of any black people and claiming that the person escaped from his slavery was enough to make the black person a slave. This act led the slaves to form resistance against the government and the people who took advantage of this act.

The Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 renewed Lincoln's passion against slavery by mandating the return of escaped slaves and imposing penalties on those who assisted them. This law increased Northern resistance to slavery and highlighted moral and legal conflicts that Lincoln strongly opposed. It ultimately influenced his decisions regarding abolition during the Civil War.
