He named it Alexandria. It's just north of Cairo at the Nile River delta. Beautiful city, although not as economically developed as Cairo.

Alexander the Great founded the city of Alexandria in 332 BCE on the Nile Delta after conquering Egypt. This city became a major center of culture and learning, blending Greek and Egyptian traditions. Alexandria's legacy continued through the Ptolemaic dynasty, which further enriched the city.
