intrusive rock is formed from lava cooling with**in **the earth's crust below ground forming large crystals, extrusive rock is formed above ground very quickly and not being able to crystallize.

Intrusive igneous rock is cooled and solidified above ground. Typically it's formed from lava, which comes from underground. That's why it's called intrusive.

Intrusive igneous rocks form when magma cools slowly below the Earth's surface, allowing large crystals to grow. Unlike extrusive rocks that solidify quickly at the surface, intrusive rocks remain below ground, resulting in coarse-grained structures. Granite is a common example of an intrusive igneous rock.
