Why did volunteerism fail?

Asked by BrendonDegroat764

Answer (2)

Businesses and citizens acted in their individual best interest. Many people blamed Hoover because he was president at the time, but it was not his fault because the people of that time acted under their own interest and no one volunteered.

Volunteerism has faced failures due to factors such as lack of public engagement, resource limitations, skill mismatches, volunteer burnout, and sustainability issues. Historically, these challenges have led to underutilization and ineffective programs. Addressing these factors is crucial for the success of volunteer efforts.
