Mayflower compact
Though it did little more than making sure that the colony would be governed or served like any English town(English Colonies), it did make the purpose of relieving the concerns problems of many of the settlers in their dwelling.
The government of Plymouth Colony was based on the Mayflower Compact, a document signed by the Pilgrims in 1620 that established a framework for self-governance. It was created because they lacked an official charter from England. The Compact laid the foundation for democratic principles in the new colony.
