Solve the system of equations using substitution:

1. \( y = 3x - 34 \)
2. \( y = 2x - 5 \)

Asked by Sidneyflores14

Answer (3)

3x-34 = 2x -5 3x-2x = 34 -5 x = 29 plug the 29 back into the second equation ( or the first , your choice ) y = 2 (29) -5 = 58-5= 53 (29, 53) I think u might need to show the work so here you go

To solve the system of equations y = 3 x − 34 and y = 2 x − 5 , set them equal to each other to find x = 29 and substitute back to find y = 53 . The solution is ( x , y ) = ( 29 , 53 ) . Verification through both equations confirms this solution is accurate.
