What property or properties of a wave determine its speed?

The properties of the wave don't determine its speed. The properties of the medium do. You can FIND the speed by measuring the wave's frequency and wavelength.

The speed of a wave is primarily determined by the properties of the medium through which it travels, such as elasticity, density, and temperature. The relationship between wave speed, frequency, and wavelength is given by the equation v = f × λ . Changes in the medium's characteristics will affect how fast the wave can propagate.
