3 − 8 ​ + 4 − 50 ​ = 3 i 8 ​ + 4 i 50 ​ = 3 i 4 × 2 ​ + 4 i 25 × 2 ​ = 6 i 2 ​ + 20 i 2 ​ = 26 i 2 ​
I think part of the second question is cut off so I can't help but I hope I have helped with the first one.

To simplify 3 − 8 ​ + 4 − 50 ​ , rewrite using imaginary numbers: 3 − 8 ​ = 6 i 2 ​ and 4 − 50 ​ = 20 i 2 ​ , combine them to get 26 i 2 ​ .
