Solve for \( x \).

\[ 0 = 65892.56 \times x^{-1.67} \]

Asked by Schweigart405

Answer (2)

0 = 65892.56 ⋅ x − 1.67
It would seem the only solution is 0, but x − 1.67 = x 1.67 1 and the denominator of the fraction can't be equal zero, therefore there's no solution.

The equation 0 = 65892.56 × x − 1.67 has no solution because x − 1.67 , which is x 1.67 1 , cannot equal zero. Since the constant 65892.56 is not zero, the only way for the left side to be zero is impossible for real values of x . Thus, there is no solution for x .
