Solve the following inequality:

\[9x < 18\]

Asked by juarezjessica82

Answer (3)

so 9x<18 can be factored out into 9(x)<9(2) you can divide both sides by 9 x<2
so the solution is any number more than 2, but not 2

Divide by 9 You will get x<2

The solution to the inequality 9 x < 18 is x < 2 , meaning that x can be any number less than 2. This includes all numbers below 2, but not 2 itself. It's represented on a number line with an open circle at 2 and shading to the left.
