"The teacher and student were expelled for suspicion of robbery." This might have hurt me because maybe i could have been there to experience it. "The student cussed and whined after he was caught doing drugs." This could have hurt me AND my school grade because drugs are illegal on school premises. " More soldiers were sent to Boston to make sure colonists followed the laws." This could have hurt me because i could have been a colonist. "Olaf wanted his nose back." I could have been Olaf. The Intolerable Acts were laws enacted in 1774 to punish Massachusetts for defying British authority, including the closure of Boston's port, restrictions on local governance, and the requirement to house British soldiers. Each action significantly impacted colonists by affecting trade, reducing local control, and invading personal privacy. These measures fueled further resentment against British rule among the colonists.
