Would the sum of 5.7 cm and 6.2 cm need to be rounded? Why or why not?

5.7 + 6.2 = 11.9 You can round it, but you don't need to. Really. Round it becomes 12. Then its more clear. But if you don't round, it is more exact.

The sum of 5.7 cm and 6.2 cm, which equals 11.9 cm, does not need to be rounded if we want to keep one decimal place. However, it can be rounded to 12 cm for simplicity. Rounding is based on the number of decimal places in the measurements being added.
