How do you enlarge a shape by 300 percent?

Asked by mirandafranco

Answer (3)

From my understanding, I would multiply each point by 3.
This is because in decimal form, it is equal to 3.00 (300).

Multiply each point by 3 because three hundred percent is (in decimal form) 3.00 OR just 3

To enlarge a shape by 300 percent, multiply its dimensions by 4 to make it four times larger than the original size. For example, if a rectangle is 2 units long and 3 units wide, its new dimensions after enlargement would be 8 units long and 12 units wide. This method maintains the shape's proportions while increasing its overall size.
