What is the sales rate for 5% of $50?

well 5 is a percentage, so it goes over 100. soo its would be like 5%/100% and the 50$ is like the 100% except its not a percentage.. so it would be ... x/50
So from here, you cross multiply,so 5 times 50 equals 250 Now You have to divide 250 by 100 So your answer is: 2.5 OR 2.50 They're both the same. I hope i helped!!

5% of $50 is calculated by converting 5% to a decimal (0.05) and then multiplying it by $50, which results in $2.50. This means that if you had a sales tax of 5% on $50, you would pay an additional $2.50. So, your total cost would be $52.50.
