Find the value of x for each of the following equations:

1. \(3x - 20 = 130\)

2. \(8x - 2 = -9 + 7x\)

3. \(x + 6 = 33\)

Asked by ArLus

Answer (3)

3 x − 20 = 130 3 x = 130 + 20 3 x = 150 x = 50

8 x − 2 = − 9 + 7 x 8 x − 7 x = − 9 + 2 x = − 7

x + 6 = 33 x = 33 − 6 x = 27

those tasks are very simple, you should try to solve them on you're own first :)

3 x − 20 = 130 / + 20 3 x − 20 + 20 = 130 + 20 3 x = 150 / : 3 3 x : 3 = 150 : 3 x = 50
8 x − 2 = − 9 + 7 x / + 2 / − 7 x 8 x − 7 x = − 9 + 2 x = − 7
x + 6 = 33 / − 6 x = 33 − 6 x = 27

The solutions to the equations are: x = 50 for the first equation, x = − 7 for the second equation, and x = 27 for the third equation.
