Jacobson Animal Shelter has half as many cats as dogs. The shelter has 30 dogs. How many total animals does the shelter have?

The shelter has 45 animals in total because there are fifteen cats cause there are half as many cats to dogs. So when you add the total number of cats to the total number of dogs you get the total number of animals being 45 . :) hope that helped

45 animals because 30/2 = 15 15 + 30 (of the dogs) = 45!

The total number of animals at the Jacobson Animal Shelter is 45. There are 30 dogs and 15 cats, which is half the number of dogs. Adding both gives us the total count of animals.
