There were several areas in which the Americans pushed for reforms to improve the lifestyle of the Americans. Numerous houses were built in the places where the immigrants were staying or were coming. This improved the living condition of the immigrants by a huge margin. Racial inequality was removed to give all Americans equal facility. Labor reforms were made so that a person does not have to work for more than 8 hours in a day. Child labor was prohibited by law to improve the child’s growth in the society. Better education system for all was started.
I would like to add onto what taskmasters has posted.
Americans also pushed for reforms for:
Anti-slavery Women's rights Temperance
Hope that helped :)
