Whose statement makes sense? Whose statement is nonsense? Explain your reasoning.

Gavin: There is no multiple of \( \frac{1}{6} \) between \( \frac{3}{6} \) and \( \frac{4}{6} \).

Abigail: \( \frac{4}{5} \) is a multiple of \( \frac{1}{4} \).

Answer (3)

Gavin's statement makes sense as 1/6 * 3 = 3/6 But Abigail's statement is incorrect because 1/4 * any whole no. is not equal to 4/5 Hence Gavin is right. Hope I could help!!!

Abigail is incorrect because 1/4 can be made into 4/5 1/4, 2/4, 3/4,(4/5 is here) 4/4

Both Gavin's and Abigail's statements are nonsense. Gavin incorrectly claims there's no multiple of 6 1 between 6 3 and 6 4 , while Abigail incorrectly states 5 4 is a multiple of 4 1 . Neither statement holds true upon examination.
