To convert scientific notation to a percentage, move the decimal point in the coefficient to get a standard decimal value, then multiply that value by 100. If the scientific notation is a × 1 0 n , the final percentage is a × 1 0 n × 100% . For example, 3.5 × 1 0 2 becomes 35000% and 4.2 × 1 0 − 1 becomes 42%.
