Answer (3)

you would go... 12.56 divided by 3.14=diameter the diameter is equal to 4. the diameter is two times the diameter though so, all you have to do is divide that by 2. 4 divided by 2=2! your answer is 2

The radius of the circle is 2 miles when the area of a circle is 12.56 square miles
What is Circle?
A circle is a shape consisting of all points in a plane that are at a given distance from a given point, the centre.
Given that area of a circle is 12.56 square miles.
We need to find the radius of the circle.
The formula to find area of circle is πr²
By using this we find the radius of the circle.
Area =πr²
12.56=3.14r²
Divide both sides by 3.14
12.56/3.14=r²
4=r²
r=2 miles
Hence, the radius of the circle is 2 miles when the area of a circle is 12.56 square miles

The radius of the circle, given an area of 12.56 square miles, is 2 miles. This is determined by using the area formula for a circle, A = π r 2 . By substituting the given area and solving for the radius, we find r = 2 miles .
