There are 2 faces 7 x 5
2 ∗ ( 5 ∗ 7 ) = 2 ∗ 35 = 70 f t 2
There 2 faces 5 x 5
2 ∗ ( 5 ∗ 5 ) = 2 ∗ 25 = 50 f t 2
there are 3 faces 5 x 12
4 ∗ ( 5 ∗ 12 ) = 4 ∗ 60 = 240 f t 2
There are 2 faces 7 x 7
2 ∗ ( 7 ∗ 7 ) = 2 ∗ 49 = 98 f t 2
Now only we have to sum all of them together
98 + 240 + 50 + 70 = 458 f t 2

c u b o i d : l = 12 f t , w = 5 f t , h = 7 f t A = 2 wl + 2 l h + 2 h w A = 2 ⋅ 5 ⋅ 12 + 2 ⋅ 12 ⋅ 7 + 2 ⋅ 7 ⋅ 5 = 120 + 168 + 70 = 358 f t 2 c u b e : f o u r s i d e w a ll s : s = 5 f t 4 ⋅ s 2 = 4 ⋅ 5 2 = 4 ∗ 25 = 100 f t 2 s u r f a ce a re a o f t h e f i gu re : 358 + 100 = 458 f t 2 A n s w er : B . 458 f t 2 2

To calculate the surface area of a rectangular prism, use the formula S A = 2 lw + 2 l h + 2 w h . Based on the assumptions given for the dimensions, the calculated surface area is 392 ft², which does not match the options provided. Check the figure's dimensions to confirm and recalculate if needed.
