An orange is divided into 6 equal wedges. Jody eats 1 wedge, then she eats 3 more wedges. How much of the orange did Jody eat?

Answer (3)

Out of 6 wedges, Jody eats 4 wedges obviously so he eats 4/6 of the orange or to make it simple 2/3 of it

Jody ate 3 2 of the orange by consuming 4 out of the 6 wedges. This fraction is derived by adding the wedges she ate (1 and 3) and simplifying the fraction. In total, she ate 4 wedges out of 6, which simplifies to 3 2 .
