Answer (3)

4 x + 6 y + 12 = 0 / − 4 x ; / − 12 6 y = − 4 x − 12 / : 6 y = − 6 4 x − 6 12 y = − 3 2 x − 2

subtract 4x from both sides and it will be 6y=-4x+12y. Divide by 6 on both sides which will be y=-4/6+2 because you have to subtract 4x from both sides to get y alone and then divide by 6 to get it completely alone

The equation 4 x + 6 y + 12 = 0 can be rewritten in slope-intercept form as y = − 3 2 x − 2 . The slope of the line is − 3 2 and the y-intercept is − 2 . This indicates that the line has a negative slope and crosses the y-axis at y = − 2 .
