Geography greatly influenced ancient China through its vital river systems, natural barriers, and varied regions, which shaped agriculture, culture, and interactions. The Yellow and Yangtze Rivers supported farming but also posed flooding threats, while mountains and deserts provided protection. These geographical features led to relatively isolated cultural development, but also connected China through trade routes like the Silk Road.
