There is no actual documentation of the first person who discovered crystals as they have been around since the formation of the Earth. but, Agust Bravais was one of the very first cryptologists. Although this is the case, the very first crystals are said to be discovered deep within the caves of Africa. Nicolas Steno first discovered how quartz crystals were formed.
Crystals have existed since Earth formed, making it impossible to credit a single discoverer. Early key contributors include Nicolas Steno, who laid the groundwork for crystallography, and Wilhelm Röntgen and Max von Laue, whose discoveries advanced scientific understanding of crystal structures. These advancements continue to evolve with modern research, such as Daniel Shechtman's work on quasicrystals.
