16 oz in 1 pound. we'relooking for 3.4 pounds, so that will in oz be 3.4 × 16 = 54.4
if for 3.4 lbs beef costs 4.95, we'll need to divide that into the oz, so 4.95 ÷ 54.4 ≈ 0.09

The cost per ounce of beef is approximately 9 cents after converting 3.4 pounds to ounces and dividing the total cost by the total ounces. The calculation reveals that the cost is very low per individual ounce. Therefore, if you bought 3.4 pounds for $4.95, you are paying around 9 cents for each ounce you get.
