What are the differences in animal life between lakes and oceans?

Correct. Oceans are composed of Seawater and are at a colder temperature, which means only life forms who are adept in living in salted water and colder temperatures would survive. Also oceans are constantly moving and have a much larger ecosystem which means more dangers for any living organism. Lakes are usually at a higher temperature, consist of fresh mountain water and are smaller in comparison.

Lakes and oceans differ in salinity, temperature, ecosystem diversity, organism types, and water movement, significantly influencing the animal life present in each. Oceans, filled with saltwater, support a wide range of marine life whereas lakes, containing freshwater, host different species adapted to these less diverse environments. These distinctions are important for understanding aquatic ecology and the adaptations of various species.
