The graph of [tex]y = 4x - 11[/tex] is translated up 8 units. Which equation represents the translated graph?

It would be y=4x-3 because -11 show that it went down 11 units. So if it is going to go up 8 units, -11+8 is -3.

When the equation y = 4 x − 11 is translated up by 8 units, the new equation becomes y = 4 x − 3 . This is done by adding 8 to the y value of the original equation. The slope remains unchanged while the line moves higher on the graph.
