Could -2 be used as a base to rewrite 32? 64? Why or why not?

for 32 no, because ( -2 )⁵ = -32 for 64 yes, because (-2)⁶ = 64 as a general rule a negative number raised to a odd number will give a negative number a negative number raised to a even number will give a positive number

No, -2 cannot be used to rewrite 32 since it results in a negative outcome when raised to any odd power. However, -2 can be used to rewrite 64, as raising it to the sixth power gives a positive result. Therefore, -2 is applicable for 64 but not for 32.
