Brazil speaks Portuguese so we can see some influence here. Definetly Portugal was the one who sent the most settlers here. Behind them were the French, who wanted to form a colony here called Antarctic France, the French settling was commanded by Villegaignon. The reason why Spain didn't make Brasil a colony was because of a treaty the made with Portugal called the Treaty of Tordesilhas, establishing the borders and limits of each country's colony.

Portugal was the European country that sent the most settlers to Brazil, starting with Pedro Cabral's discovery in 1500. They established settlements primarily for sugarcane agriculture, significantly impacting the region's culture and economy. The Portuguese legacy remains strong in Brazil, as it is the only country in South America where Portuguese is the official language.
