What phase of matter is unable to transfer heat by convection?

Convection is the actual physical motion of heated material rising and cool material sinking. That's not possible in a solid ... solids don't flow.

The phase of matter that cannot transfer heat by convection is a solid. This is because solids do not flow, preventing the movement required for convection. In contrast, convection occurs in liquids and gases due to their ability to move and circulate.
