Yes, because if you have a flower and it reproduces then there's a HIGH chance that the next flower will be the same color because of traits!

Flower colour is a trait. It is transferred from parents to offspring. The flower colour is present in DNA as information.
It can also be called a charecteristic. It is due to the colour of the flower which attracts insects.
For the sake of convenience, Flower colour is called a trait when used in a formal way.
