For what value of a does [tex]9=\left(\frac{1}{27}\right)^{a+3}[/tex]?

Asked by bradleynigel610

Answer (1)

9 = (1/27)^(a + 3)
3² = (3^(-3))^(a + 3)
3² = 3^(-3a - 9)
-3a - 9 = 2
-3a = 11
a = -11/3
