One communication barrier I experienced was a language barrier while on a school exchange trip in Spain. I struggled to understand and speak with my host family as I was still learning Spanish. To overcome this, I used translation apps and asked my host sister to speak slowly and use gestures. Though it was challenging, it taught me the importance of patience and non-verbal communication in connecting with others and breaking language barriers.
