Use the table on the right to calculate each required quantity. Remember: [tex]$q=n \Delta H$[/tex]

The quantity of heat required to melt 175 g Cu is $\square$ kJ .

The substance that releases 21.2 kJ of energy when 1.42 mol of it freezes is $\square$ .

| Substance | [tex]$\Delta H_{\text {fus }}$[/tex] ( [tex]$kJ / mol$[/tex] ) | [tex]$\Delta H_{\text {vap }}$[/tex] ( [tex]$kJ / mol$[/tex] ) |
| --------- | --------------------------------- | --------------------------------- |
| [tex]$H _2 O$[/tex] | 6.01 | 40.7 |
| [tex]$CO _2$[/tex] | 7.94 | 25.2 |
| [tex]$O _2$[/tex] | 0.443 | 6.81 |
| [tex]$N _2$[/tex] | 0.719 | 5.58 |
| Fe | 14.9 | 354 |

John Tyler became president because he was the vice-president when the President died. The legal basis for his becoming president was the Us Constitution. (The only question was whether he would actually become president or merely act as president amd carry out the necessary duties without actually being a real president. There was objection to his moving into the White House and at first no money was allocated for him to give state dinners or provide other necessary state functions. )

On March 1, 1845, three days before turning the presidency over to Polk, Tyler signed a Texas annexation bill into law, and Texas would be admitted as a state in the first year of Polk's presidency.
President: John Tyler
Seat: White House
Tyler was sometimes called "the President without a party" since both groups did not want him. When the Confederate States of America was created, Tyler thought that states should be allowed to make their own laws, even about slavery. He did not want a civil war. ;

John Tyler became President of the United States after the death of William Henry Harrison in 1841, based on the U.S. Constitution. He asserted that he would fully assume the presidency rather than serve as acting president, establishing an important precedent for future succession cases. This process was later clarified with the 25th Amendment in 1967.
