Answer (3)

1/6 + 1/4 = 2/12 + 3/12 = 5/12 1 − 5/12 = 12/12 − 5/12 = 7/12
7/12 ∗ 48 = 28
The answer is 28.

There are 28 soldiers on board the ship after calculating how many crew members are engineers and stewards. This was done by finding one-sixth and one-fourth of the total crew, then subtracting those from the total. The calculation shows that the remaining crew, which are soldiers, number 28.
