She made an impact because in this point in history there was a lot of segregation on buses and to stand up to a white man is a huge deal. Even though she got sent to jail she made it possible for others to stand up to segregation and to stand up for free rights.

Rosa Parks' stand against segregation was significantly shaped by the historical context of racial injustice in the mid-20th century and her background as an activist. Her refusal to give up her bus seat sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott, which united the African American community and became a catalyst for the civil rights movement. This act of defiance, coupled with the community support, transformed her into a powerful symbol of resistance against racial inequality.
