Which type of gas is filled in Lay's packs, and why?

In lays packet nitrogen gas is filled.. it is done to keep chips fresh and tasty.. it also increases shelf life... it also cushions the contents in packet...

In each and every packaging item we generally use N2(nitrogen) bcs it does'nt reacts with the food item .
