Which one is the stronger acid: one with a pH of 5 or one with a pH of 2?

Answer (3)

Each change in pH is a change in Hydrogen Ion concentration by a factor of 10. So a pH 2 acid is 1000 times stronger than a pH 5 acid.

pH=2. The lower the pH level, the higher the acidity is. Meanwhile, the higher the pH, the more basic the substance is

The solution with a pH of 2 is a stronger acid than the one with a pH of 5. This is because lower pH values represent higher concentrations of hydronium ions, indicating greater acidity. The difference in acidity is substantial, as the pH 2 solution has 100,000 times more hydronium ions than the pH 5 solution.
